Coke Zero:

Mark Flood is best-known as a founder of Houston’s experimental punk band Culturcide, but in recent years his needling of the art world—whether in words or in lace—has attracted a growing following that’s variously intrigued, amused, and annoyed. Which explains why Luxembourg & Dayan is re-examining Flood’s lesser-known works from the ’80s, in a show opening today. Among them is Muted Coke Bottle, a painted found object from 1983. Some might describe it as a rectified readymade. But whatever you call it, it’s clearly Post-Pop.
